Treat Your Valentine Lavishly with Bogey’s Culinary Delights

food and wine delicacies at Bogey's SteakhouseIf you want something special, you don’t need to go far, with Valentine’s Day and Bogey’s Steak and Seafood right around the corner.

Bogey’s is a golf casual, yet intimate, steakhouse at the beautiful Las Sendas Golf Club. If you live within the surrounding communities, the complimentary Las Sendas limousine service will take you on a romantic night out with your reservation at Bogey’s Steak and Seafood.

Bogey’s, named after the late 40s movie icon Humphrey Bogart, so conveys the period-style, distinguished dining room ambiance. “Bogey’s may be tucked away in Las Sendas,” according to Food and Beverage Director Dennis Shaw, “but it is well worth finding.”

This Valentine’s Day, escape to your neighborhood Casablanca. Chef Cory Mingo has designed a special three-course menu for your romantic night out. Your choice, from three starters, three entrees and the chef’s selection of desserts, covers a broad range of culinary moods.

Chef Cory has been with Bogey’s and The Rusty Putter, its companion club restaurant, since the beginning. He comes from the West Coast, a graduate of the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Ore. He lives in the West Valley, and has two young sons.

Bogey’s is a Prime Steakhouse. “We use the highest quality USDA prime beef,” Chef Cory said. “Only 3 percent of beef in the world meets this standard. We have three growers in Nebraska, Iowa and Idaho.” Before the steak hits the plate, each prime cut has been wet-aged to perfection for 21 days and is infused with Bogey’s signature spice rub.

The chef’s two favorites on Bogey’s menu are the Pesto Lamb Porterhouse, which comes marinated in sage pesto. “It has so much flavor,” said Cory. The Bacon Wrapped Scallops are also delish. “The crispiness and saltiness of the bacon marry well with the sweetness of the scallops,” he further stated.bogey's steakhouse interior

“Finding the right mix for the menu can be a challenge in Arizona, because people here come from so many different places,” Cory stated. But he is good at variety.

Well-intentioned magic fuels Cory’s culinary arts into Bogey’s money’s-worth menu. This cook comes from a long line of chefs. “My grandmother, cousins and uncles all were chefs,” Cory said. “So, I follow them in their footprints.”
