“I accidently got into the consignment and resale business four years ago when I accepted a part-time management position for a friend who owned a consignment/resale store in Scottsdale,” said Connie Hooper, owner of Sweet Repeats. “I have always been a consignment store shopper, and I always look for unique items. I love the joy of the find.”
Connie also has a very creative flair, and people compliment her for the fashion sense she personally displays.
Her boutique benefits from flair with function, layout and color, making the store flow easily. Connie recalls the moment the light came on, and she decided to open her own boutique in Mesa. “A woman asked me, ‘Why do people think women in Mesa don’t want to dress in wonderful designer clothes? That’s not us at all,'” Connie stated. “The woman’s comments have been reinforced by Mesa women consigning their quality clothing for resale, as well as buyers experiencing the joy of the find at my boutique.”
Connie warmly welcomes visitors to her store. She truly appreciates their presence and patronage. “The next person just might turn out to be a friend,” she said with enthusiasm. “I enjoy hearing the history of items being consigned, and I get tremendous satisfaction when custom
ers are excited about the affordable prices and quality of the clothes and accessories available in my boutique. I try to find something for everyone 18 to 80.”
Sweet Repeats Boutique is for shoppers who like to update their wardrobes regularly. The boutique accepts designer and better label items in like new condition, freshly laundered or dry cleaned and in season. Consignments are accepted Tuesday through Saturday during regular business hours and only with 10 or more items. Consignors have the option of store credit or cash when their items sell.
