Sweet Repeats Consignment Boutique Celebrates Grand Re-opening

by Vivian Stearns-Kohler May 6, 2011
written by Vivian Stearns-Kohler May 6, 2011

Connie Hooper of Sweet RepeatsMark your calendar for May 3, the date of the grand re-opening of Sweet Repeats, a popular, upscale ladies consignment boutique now located at 6039 E. University Drive.

Join the celebration of this new location at the southeast corner of University Drive and Recker Road in the Farnsworth-Ricks shopping plaza. Refreshments will be served in honor of the occasion. Hours of operation remain the same as always at this new location. Shop Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The boutique boasts more than 2,000 square feet and three roomy dressing rooms. Brand names, such as Chicos, Jones New York, Ann Taylor, Anne Klein and Ralph Lauren are featured. In addition, there are Coach, Dooney, Fossil, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Brighton and Vera Bradley handbags.

“Recycling unwanted clothing, accessories, shoes, jewelry and small home décor items through resale at Sweet Repeats is an easy way to make additional income,” said owner Connie Hooper. “Although, many of my consignment shoppers use their store credit from items sold toward guilt free purchases.”

Today’s consignment stores are regarded with a new philosophy, according to the Sweet Repeats owner.

“Consignment shops have come out of the closet, attaining a new status as the place to go for realizing the best savings in designer clothing and accessories,” Connie stated. “Resale is great way to recycle, and it forces us to remember that every decision we make contributes to the way we should live our lives within a broader sense. We can live consciously while honoring our inner fashionista!”

Gently used, freshly laundered, better name brands in current styles are accepted during regular store hours. There is a 10-item minimum for consignors.
