Strengthen Your Immune System For the Cold and Flu Season

by Deb Budnick, R.N. November 5, 2010
written by Deb Budnick, R.N. November 5, 2010

cold and flu seasonIt’s the time of year again to prevent the common cold and flu virus from taking over your body.

At the Anti-Aging Institute of Arizona, we practice preventative medicine. As Dr. Paul Budnick mentioned last month in his Vitamin D article, it is important to have a strong immune system.

To strengthen your immune system, you can take a starting dose of 2,000 IU of vitamin D every day. He believes this is a better immunity booster than Vitamin C.

Another option is to get a weekly B12 injection to improve your energy level and immune system. Some patients tell us since their B12 therapy has started, they are less prone to getting sick during this season.

We also offer our very popular vitamin IVs. Each IV includes high doses of ascorbic acid, B-complex, zinc, selenium and multi-trace elements. The completion of the IV takes about 45 minutes.

While in our office, we have you relax in a Lazy Boy recliner, with the option of watching television or using the time to take a quick nap! Getting essential vitamins through the IV route is better than if you were to take all the mentioned vitamins in pill or tablet form.Deb Budnick, R.N.

The benefits of vitamin IVs are endless. They promote better health and enhance the healing process while our bodies are challenged during illness. We often treat conditions, such as fatigue, depression, fibromyalgia, upper respiratory infections, seasonal allergic rhinitis and asthma with our vitamin IVs.

IVs are regularly priced at $155 each, but during the month of November, we are offering the IVs at a discounted rate of $90 each. To take advantage of this great special, please give our office a call to schedule your IV treatment. I will meet with you to go over your medical history and answer any questions you may have regarding the treatments we offer to help you feel better throughout this cold and flu season.

Make it a healthy season!

We are now accepting insurance for medical visits. For details, please call our office at (480) 292-1110.
