Storage Units Can Have More Than One Use

by Nancy Nemitz May 2, 2013
written by Nancy Nemitz May 2, 2013

Various storage systems are suitable for more than the intended area of use when it comes to efficient organizing.

IKEA has a wonderful storage system, which is marketed for clothes storage, but also works very well in a family room or children’s playroom. The sliding doors make it streamlined. The unlimited customized interiors, using wire baskets, solid sliding trays, and shelving, make it ideal for storage. The objective is to keep toys, games, blankets, and anything else you would like out of view but easily accessible.

When you are solving a storage problem, be careful not to just look at products marketed for one area of the home. Many garage storage solutions work in craft rooms, as well. Think of the problem you are trying to solve rather than the product label, and look for solutions offering flexibility as your needs change.
