Realtor plays role in changing lives with housing

written by UpClose Publications March 30, 2011

helping families through real estateWhile most of you who are reading this publication are fortunate enough to either own or rent a home, there are many in our community who do not have a place to call their own.

On any given day, it is estimated there are tens of thousands of homeless individuals in Arizona with families representing the fastest growing segment of this population.

I have the honor of serving on the board of directors of Save the Family Foundation of Arizona, a local nonprofit organization with a mission to empower homeless families to become self-sufficient. While most of my days are spent working with clients to find that perfect home with the right number of bedrooms, bathrooms and garages, my work with Save the Family is all about meeting the basic needs of families and providing them a place to finally call home.

Save the Family maintains more than 70 homes
