Plant With A Plan With Cooler Weather Just Ahead

by Frank Weinberg October 2, 2024October 6, 2024

Wow, it’s already October! Many homeowners should be thinking about replacing tired looking plants that have barely made it through the heat of summer.

The time to do this is now, since our fall weather is ideal for new plantings. This is especially important to do before the frost season begins.

If you are a homeowner who is interested in replacing high water usage grass with a beautiful artificial lawn, now is the time to kill off the grass with some type of grass killer before the installation of new turf. In this regard, the City of Mesa offers a generous rebate to homeowners for converting over to artificial turf and becoming water wise.

Be prepared for cooler weather and beautify your front or backyard before the frost hits. “Plant with a plan,” states Frank, who is a semi-retired landscape designer living in Red Mountain Ranch.
