mesa-veterans-parade-pic-6The East Valley Veterans Parade will be held in downtown Mesa Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m., and a free Veterans Benefit Concert will be held immediately following the parade at the Mesa Arts Center.

The parade will feature many veteran and military themed activities, including the Fallen Soldier Memorial. As many as six high school marching bands are expected in addition to historic military vehicles and local entries.

The parade will begin on Center Street north of University Drive, travel south on Center Street and turn west on First Street, where the celebration will continue to Robson and end.

The parade is organized by the East Valley Veterans Parade Association. For more information, visit www.evvp.org, or call (480) 684-2324.

The free benefit concert will be held immediately following the parade in support of Mesa Veterans programs, and will include live performers, food trucks and more. Donations will benefit Housing Our Heroes to provide housing for homeless veterans.

Visit www.mesaaz.gov/vets, or call (480) 644-6536 for more information.
