Red Mountain Little LeagueOn Saturday, June 11, the Tigers of the Red Mountain America Little League Majors Division captured the Tournament of Champions Title!

This tournament featured a double elimination tourney in which the first place teams from all Little Leagues in the City of Mesa Division came together to compete.

The Tigers, managed by Matt Wiley, Doug Coats, and Tim Kott, capped off a brilliant 19-2 season with a stunning championship victory at Rhodes Junior High School over the Indians, the representative of the Four Peaks Little League. Ethan VanDemark powered a fast ball high into the sky over the left center field fence resulting in a 3-run walk off home run and a 10-7 victory for the Tigers.

The excitement of the bottom of the 6th heroics led to a frenzy of high fives and hugs as Ethan crossed home plate. Stunning plays by Tyler Coats, Jared Wiley, and Gavin Corley powered the Tigers to victory. Significant contributors were Trent Stimac, Zane Carpenter, Trent Land, Ryan Johnson, Chris Huggins, Garron Cadiente and catcher Zac Evenson.
