How to Make Sense of Medicare Information

The Medicare Annual Enrollment period is from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. You are currently in the period where you can review your current Medicare plans and make changes to start the first of next year.

This can be a daunting task with so much information to filter through. From TV commercials to phone calls and mail, it seems everyone wants to enroll you in their plan.

This year there are over 80 different plans available in Arizona — no wonder it is intimidating. Each plan offers different things like hearing aids, dental coverage, and outof-network coverage, among others. How do you choose?

As I meet with people, I hear how nice it is to actually talk with someone instead of ending up in an endless loop or speaking with an automated voice. I realize these have their place, but something as important as choosing your health coverage really needs an actual person who can talk to you, understand your specific needs, and help guide you.

Please don’t turn to the 1-800 centers. Instead, look for a local Medicare agent. I am certified with many carriers and can help you pick a plan that will work best for you.

If you are new to Medicare or just want to have an opportunity to review your current plans, please feel free to call me or send me an email and schedule an appointment. We can have an in-home meeting or a phone call. For help with your Medicare insurance needs, please contact me at (480) 212-2246 or email at jonesdvp@yahoo.com.
