Holiday Boutique Offers Something for Everyone

by Red Mountain United Methodist Church November 1, 2014
written by Red Mountain United Methodist Church November 1, 2014

Holiday boutique time!Red Mountain United Methodist Church presents the ninth annual Holiday Boutique, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., in Madsen Hall.

Help children laugh. Picture the looks of concentration on their faces as they take on new challenges, learn new skills and broaden their worlds. Know you are a part of bringing our Mesa community together one child, one family, at a time. Contribute to our better future by investing in a child.

And come fill up your own well at the Holiday Boutique, brought to you by the Red Mountain Crafters. Enter a room of stunning beauty, see tables filled with enough eye candy to overwhelm you, and know that every single penny of profit made goes to benefit children in our preschool and children’s ministries programs. Last year’s proceeds funded scholarships, purchased educational supplies, and fed some little stomachs, too.

The number of crafters, all volunteers, has grown this year, with talent from the Mesa community, adding many new projects, which you won’t want to miss. Focusing on Arizona natural art, using gourds, cacti and cotton, the crafty ladies and men bring you work worthy of a Sedona art studio, and offered at prices you can afford.

From needle art and quilting, purses and jewelry, to cards and Christmas ornaments, the colorful array will, at the very least, give you an experience of viewing pleasure you won’t forget. Choose from a selection of more than 150 placemat collections, refresh your florals, or grab one of the hand-painted and handcrafted lighted landscape pieces before they are gone.

Plan to stay for a while. Plan to sit and visit with the ladies who are there just for you, to welcome you and to get to know you. Sample the delicious culinary delights from the bake sale. And browse the used book sale, too.

You don’t have to buy anything to enjoy this special event. Be prepared to be tempted, however. These one-of-a-kind items are going to call out to you—begging you to take them home.

Red Mountain United Methodist Church is located at 2936 N. Power Road. For more information about the Holiday Boutique, call (480) 981-3833.
