Spencer Doucet, a resident of Las Sendas since 2002, owns H and I Automotive. He opened the shop in August 2009, after losing his position as a General Motors world-class technician at one of the local dealerships, which was shut down as part of General Motors downsizing. To the delight of his friends and family, Spencer decided to head out on his own, and leave the dealership politics behind. He rented a couple work stalls at 5338 E. Main St., and H and I Automotive was born.
The name H and I was suggested to Spencer mainly due to his business ethics. His customers saw him as an honest guy who not only had the integrity to treat you fairly, but to also stand behind his work. To this day, Spencer checks and test-drives every vehicle before it leaves his facility.
