Gathering Of Golden Retrievers Comes To Mesa

written by Renee Bellefeuille February 1, 2022February 1, 2022

Mesa resident Renee Bellefeuille is hosting the third annual Gathering of Golden Retrievers on Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gene Autry Park in Mesa. The free event will feature games, contests, and prizes as well as snacks and refreshments.

“This is the first year I have added a charitable component to the event,” said Renee. “I reached out to Dogs4Vets,
a local organization which helps disabled veterans train their own dogs to become certified service dogs.” Renee hopes to collect donations of martingale collars and slip leads since that is what Dogs4Vets mentioned the organization needs. Last year about 35 Goldens and their owners attended, Renee confirmed.

She said, “I think pairing charitable events with fun get togethers is a great way to bring awareness to local organizations that do so much good.”

For more information, contact Renee at (602) 793-9434. Gene Autry Park is located at 4125 E. McKellips Road, Mesa.
