A-Fib: Is Your Heart Skipping a Beat?

Is your heart skipping a beat? Join Himanshu Shukla, M.D., cardiologist on the medical staff at Mountain Vista, for this informative seminar that will focus on atrial fibrillation (A-fib), its causes and treatment options.

Wednesday, Feb. 1, noon – 1 p.m.

Allergies & Valley Fever: What You Need to Know

Join Richard Dinsdale, M.D., family practice physician on the medical staff at Mountain Vista, as he discusses how allergens and fungi in the air can affect us. Learn how to keep your immune system strong throughout the year, as well as the signs and symptoms of Valley Fever.

Thursday, Feb. 2, noon – 1 p.m.

All About Hysterectomies: Options for Women

Living in the 21st century, there are a variety of surgery options for hysterectomies. One of the options available to women is the robotic hysterectomy, using the da Vinci® Si™ Surgical System.  This minimally invasive surgical option allows faster recovery and quicker return to regular activities. Join Lino Ossanna, M.D., board-certified OB/GYN, on the medical staff at Mountain Vista, as he gives an overview of hysterectomy options and provides an introduction into the use of robotics in surgery and specifically its use in hysterectomies.

Wednesday, Feb. 22, 6 – 7 p.m.

Urinary Incontinence in Men and Women

Urinary incontinence is the loss of bladder control. It can happen to people of any age, but it becomes more common as we grow older. Join Guisseppe Ramunno, M.D., OB/GYN on the medical staff at Mountain Vista, as he discusses symptoms to watch for and the latest treatment options.

Tuesday, Feb. 28, 6 – 7 p.m.

These free health seminars are designed to help you stay healthy. Mountain Vista Medical Center is located just north of the U.S. 60 at Southern Avenue and Crismon Road. Seminars are held in Classrooms 3 and 4, located on the second floor of the hospital near the cafeteria. Park on the east side of the hospital and enter through the Outpatient entrance.
