Leg and Foot Cramps – Is There Relief?

Join Luke Cicchinelli, DPM, podiatrist, on the medical staff at Mountain Vista, and learn how to recognize the most common causes of foot and leg cramps and the recommended treatment options.

Thursday, April 5, from 6 to 7 p.m.*

Sleep Apnea – What You Should Know

Join Yasir Shareef, DO, neurologist, on the medical staff at Mountain Vista, and learn about sleep apnea, a disorder causing people to stop breathing while they sleep. Learn the causes, symptoms and recommended treatment options.

Colonoscopy – What to Expect

A colonoscopy is a procedure used to see inside the colon and rectum. The procedure can detect abnormal growths, and can look for early signs of colon cancer. It is recommended people should begin routine colonoscopies at age 50, according to guidelines published by the American Cancer Society. Join Ahmed Shalabi, MD, colorectal surgeon on the medical staff at Mountain Vista, as he discusses how to prepare for the procedure, how it is performed, and the importance of colon cancer screenings.

Monday, April 23, noon to 1 p.m.*

These free health seminars are designed to help you stay healthy.

Mountain Vista Medical Center is located just north of the U.S. 60, at Southern Avenue and Crismon Road. Seminars are held in classrooms 3 and 4, located on the second floor of the hospital, near the cafeteria. Park on the east side of the hospital, and enter through the outpatient entrance.
