The program also provides opportunities to volunteer for the college and in the community.

After paying $80 per year or $60 per semester upon joining, people can sign up for as many classes as their schedules will allow. Classes meet at the three MCC campuses at Southern Ave. and Dobson Road; Downtown, at 165 N. Centennial Way; and Red Mountain, at McKellips and Power roads. Classes also are offered at East Valley Adult Resource Centers, located at 247 N. Macdonald St. and 7550 E. Adobe Road, as well as many other locations in Mesa.

To learn more about New Frontiers for Lifelong Learning and to join, attend the open house on Friday, Sept. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the MCC Downtown Center, 145 N. Centennial Way, on the fourth floor. Park in the parking garage on the second and third floors, and take the steps or elevator to the fourth floor.

Registration for classes will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. on. Registration will be by computer only. Those who don’t have a computer or access to one, or a friend who can help, can go to the second floor of the Downtown campus. People will be there to help with registration.
