Every community benefits from access to exceptional arts and culture, and East Mesa is no different.

If you know where to look, you’ll find that our home has some truly special hidden gems, even in the summer. The Silver Star Theater celebrates the arts by offering first-class entertainment and continues to wow audiences annually with a variety of great musical shows. As the East Valley’s premiere dinner theater, The Silver Star proffers a unique opportunity to celebrate every occasion and is the ideal place to gather with friends and family.

New plans are in place to offer dinner, shows and dancing with The Rhythm Cats all summer long. These musical chameleons successfully represent many different genres of music, creating a showcase of different shows, all mixed with hilarious comedy to round out an evening of fun and excitement.

Visitors will enjoy a light dinner, bar service and the cool comforts of the theater, all while listening and/or dancing to a little bit of country and a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll. Mark these dance dates on your calendar. Sunday Music and Dancing is scheduled for July 22, Aug. 5, Aug. 19 and Sept. 9. Tickets will include a light buffet from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., with dancing from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Starting off the Cool Summer Nights summer shows on Saturday, July 21, is Mark Lucas and the Wild Bunch. Join Mark and his Wild Bunch as they show off in this fun-filled musical roller coaster ride. Aug. 18 will feature Malt Show Oldies and include the songs you sang while dancing at the sock hops or driving in your car, with so many of the classic rock ‘n’ roll hits you knew and loved. It’s the perfect time to dig out those poodle skirts and saddle shoes.

All summer shows include a delicious full buffet menu. The lobby lounge opens at 4 p.m., and the main theater will open at 5:30 p.m., offering the buffet until 7 p.m. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. and includes an intermission. Group rates are available.

Located in Mesa on the southwest corner of Brown and Higley roads, The Silver Star Theater will provide an escape from the summer heat. For more information, call (480) 288-0300, or visit silverstartheater.com to purchase tickets online and view the full calendar of upcoming events.
