Desert Holistic Health Offers Unique Testing and Wellness Services

16084403_lWeight loss, hormone replacement, Botox cosmetic, IV hydration and many other medical services are now offered in Las Sendas.

Desert Holistic Health, owned and operated by board certified nurse practitioner Megan Davies, has just opened a second location inside the Life Balance Center.

According to Megan, she offers some exciting testing, which traditional medical practices do not tend to offer. “Neurotransmitter testing can be used for a variety of symptoms,” she said. Difficulty sleeping, anxiety, lack of energy, difficulty focusing and weight gain are just a few symptoms in which neurotransmitter testing could be beneficial.

A simple saliva test can show chemical imbalances causing these symptoms. After the results, a customized plan is made, using natural supplements to balance these neurotransmitters and relieve symptoms.

Megan is all too familiar with the struggles of the modern health care system. After developing a thyroid disorder and failing many traditional prescription medications, she began her own journey to wellness. Adding to her journey, she began working with practitioners from various backgrounds, including naturopaths and osteopathic doctors.

Megan decided she wanted to practice medicine with a holistic approach. “I do not just write a prescription and send a patient on his way,” she stated. “If a patient comes to me hoping to achieve weight loss goals, I work with the individual to find the root cause of why the weight gain occurred. I then develop a treatment plan, the same with various other conditions.”

Megan’s degree specialty is family practice. Therefore, she also is able to treat colds or any other illness encountered in a primary practice. Her office has been an alternative to an urgent care visit. In some cases, she can even make a home visit.

Additionally, to top off the many other wellness services available, Botox and many filler options, such as Juvederm, are offered for a beautiful, more confident you in 2016.

Desert Holistic Health currently has Friday appointments available at the Las Sendas office, located in the Life Balance Center, at 7565 E. Eagle Crest Drive.
