Cut-a-thon to benefit Sunshine Acres Children’s Home

by UpClose Publications February 1, 2013
written by UpClose Publications February 1, 2013

The holidays may be over, but the need for charitable giving still remains, and that’s why the team at Mike’s Barbershops is planning the second annual fund-raising cut-a-thon on Sunday, Feb. 24, to benefit Sunshine Acres Children’s Home.

Last year, Mike’s Barbershops raised $780 and donated clothing and other charitable goods as well. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All proceeds from haircuts done on Sunday will go to the children. “Everyone is encouraged to bring clothes, toys and donations for the home,” said Mike.

For more information, call Mike’s Barbershops at (480) 218-5964, or visit 5057 E. McKellips Road, at the southwest corner of Higley and McKellips roads.
