Cleaning Service Gives Back During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

written by Jamie Killin October 1, 2017October 1, 2017

October may be Breast Cancer Awareness month, but Carnation Home Cleaning does its part in helping those diagnosed with breast cancer all year long through the Cleaning for a Reason program.

Through the program, Carnation Home Cleaning provides free general cleaning for four months to women in need, with each of the company’s six teams serving a different woman.

“It’s just so incredible to be able to give back to the community,” said founder Eugena Bring. “We find it extremely rewarding to provide this service to women in need, and, honestly, we likely get more out of helping these women than the recipients of the cleaning.”

Eugena, who began the company nearly three decades ago out of her garage, now dedicates much of her time to giving back to the community and helping others succeed professionally.

“We try to be involved in various types of charity work in the community,” she said. “Another charity we are honored to serve is Feed My Starving Children.”

Her passion for giving is echoed throughout the company, with her cleaning technicians becoming just as engaged in the work they’re doing as she is.

“Our cleaning teams have such big hearts and enjoy helping others,” said Eugena.

Her cleaning technicians have continued to improve their skills, as well, through a brand new training program just incorporated this year. The new program focuses less on specialty cleaning and more on a comprehensive cleaning approach, thereby increasing quality and efficiency.

“We have completely redone all our training programs,” Eugena said. “So, we now have a process-driven training program to ensure that when we clean a home, we clean everything in the house. Nothing gets missed.”

The new approach has evolved over the last couple years and ensures that homeowners can expect the same team of technicians every time, ensuring even better results.

The new process also includes services, like wet wiping baseboards, door facings and frames and even refrigerator cleaning—services for which many companies charge extra.

In addition, the company is also a chemical free green company, ensuring no harsh cleaning products are being used in a customers’ home.

“If somebody used us three years ago, we’re a completely different, better cleaning company today,” Eugena said.
