Be Smart When Installing Christmas Lights

by Eagle Services December 1, 2014December 1, 2014
written by Eagle Services December 1, 2014December 1, 2014

christmas lightsHow many times have you lost power to your outside outlets or garage outlets, only to wonder how to restore power to them or where to start?

GFCI protection is vital to ensure electrical safety, in both residential and commercial properties.

A power interruption, due to a ground fault, provides important protection to people, but can shut down freezers, sump pumps and other necessary equipment if left undetected. Often, however, GFCIs, in garages, basements or large commercial kitchens, may be located in an out-of-the-way place, such as a back corner or storage area, making daily visual checks for tripping unlikely.

With the new smart lock pro slim GFCI, with audible alert if a condition exists causing the GFCI to trip, users will be alerted by the sounding of an audible alarm. This will allow the users to identify and locate the GFCI, and to reset the device, quickly restoring power.

We are getting to that time of year again for Christmas lights and holiday decorations. We can scratch that honey do item off the list for you. Call Eagle Services to give you a free estimate to install Christmas lights. We suggest buying LED, so you don’t have extension cords hanging all over your house. Also, LED draws very little power.

For more information about Eagle Services, and for help with your holiday decorations, call George Robbins, of the Electrical Division, at (480) 703-4272 (cell), or (480) 659-4942 (office). You can also email george@eaglepae.com.
