Banner Baywood Medical Center recently opened a Memory Clinic to provide assessments for people who are concerned about memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive impairment.

The Memory Clinic provides a consultation service that includes cognitive testing, diagnosis, treatment and guidance for adults who have problems with memory. The clinic is located adjacent to Banner Baywood in a medical office building at 6553 E. Baywood Ave., Suite 212 in Mesa.

Memory loss that is more than expected with age, or mild cognitive impairment, may be a precursor to Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. The Baywood memory clinic is designed to identify the precursors to cognitive impairment and bring the resources of the hospital’s neurosciences to bear in providing treatment options.

“The Memory Clinic expands Baywood’s neuroscience service line and complements our certified Stroke Center, further establishing the facility as a leader in caring for patients with these types of diagnoses,” says Banner Baywood Chief Medical Officer Larry Spratling.

Baywood’s memory loss care specialists work to customize a specific plan tailored to the precise needs of the patient and family as they change over time. These services include:
