Assess all information carefully before making any decisions

The latest isn’t always the greatest, and the most recent idea doesn’t mean it’s better than one you had last week or last month.

Researchers say we are wired to think the latest tweet, text or email is better than one that arrived before simply because it is the most recent. This means you will give greater weight and urgency to the most recent task on your To Do List.

Now that you know there is this tendency to exaggerate the importance of more recent information, I hope you will slow down and take the time necessary to evaluate all the information when making a decision.

A Red Mountain Ranch resident, Nancy Nemitz is the owner of Create the Space Professional Organizing. She consults with business clients to help them be as organized and efficient as possible. Nancy can be reached at (480) 223-8939, or you can send an email to nancy@createthespace.com. Email her if you are in need of a trainer or speaker for your event.
