It has been a busy October to December for those who have Medicare or who help people with Medicare.
There have been so many commercials, flyers in the mail, and even unwanted phone calls. In addition, confusing messages about what you may or may not qualify for. Also, many Advantage plans changed for 2026 and some even left the market completely.
I spent a large amount of time helping people make sense of it all. Medicare itself only made one major change, but the ripple effect was tremendous. Many of the major insurance companies made big changes to their Advantage plans, to their drug plans, and even to their name.
Why should something so important to seniors seem to get more and more complicated? As I often write, it is so important to have a local agent who can help you make sense of what is going on.
An agent can also help you with other enrollment periods.
Many people qualify for additional enrollments throughout the year. If you find you need to look into other options, please call your agent to see if you may have an additional enrollment period. As always, please call me to make an appointment if you are about to enter the Medicare world or have questions about your situation. I would love to be your guide.
