Alta Mesa Golf Club members and guests raised $6,440 during the fourth annual Tee It Up for Charity golf tournament on March 5.

The tournament benefits the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Arnie’s Army, two leading organizations in the research and treatment of breast and prostate cancer.

A total of 20 mixed teams of four played the course in a net tournament format with a shotgun start. A 50/50 drawing and raffles for prizes donated by local businesses and members garnered additional funds. Headed by Chris Ackley, the club’s Charity Committee coordinated the event.

Winners were:

  • First Place: Brian Lemaire, Deanne, Julia Martin and Bob Sakshaug

  • Second Place: Bob Sedar, Marcia Beaver, and Jim and Kathryn Berreth

  • Third Place: Jerry and Linda Pearson, and Kim and Terry Anderson

  • Closest to the pin prizes of $100 Calloway gift cards were earned by Mike Corr, at 2 feet 4 inches and Sandy Krenning, at 4 feet 7 inches on the 14th hole. Also earning prizes were Scott Aune, at 4 feet 7 inches and Helen Rivera, at 7 feet 8 inches on the eighth hole.
