Trinity Preschool and Kindergarten has been partnering with parents for 35 years to give Mesa’s little ones a great start in a positive, loving environment.
Classes are available for children ages 2 1/2 through kindergarten age. We are a cooperative school inviting the parents to take part in our program. Class sizes are small (12 for the 2 1/2-year-olds and 16 for the 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds), which allows us to have a great adult-to-child ratio. The preschool is developmental in approach, providing children with hands-on (sometimes messy) opportunities to learn about their world and the God who made it. Trinity seeks to be distinctively Christian in all areas.
The children are encouraged to develop self-control in learning to listen, in following directions and in getting along with others. We enjoy family-friendly field trips, dads’ nights at school, mothers’ teas, art fairs, and many more fun activities. One of the highlights of the year is our Bible Alive in October whereby the children come dressed as Bible characters and walk through different Bible stories, which are acted out by their teachers.
Our kindergarten is one of the few left in Mesa offering a half-day program. Our class is limited to 18 students, and we encourage parental involvement. We use the Zoo-Phonics reading program, as well as Everyday Mathematics. We weave science, social studies, music, art and physical development through all areas of learning. It is our goal to meet each child where he is and provide him the opportunity to develop to his full potential, academically, physically, socially and emotionally. Our small size and parent involvement allow more individual attention and greater learning potential.
Next year, in addition to our half-day program, we will be offering an extended-day kindergarten program. The day would still end at 2 p.m. to coincide with Lunch and More (an extended day program for our preschoolers). We would structure the academics into the regular three-hour morning time span. This would be followed by lunch and recess. Enrichment activities would be scheduled for the afternoon.
Tuition is $250 a month for the half-day program and $460 a month for the full-day program. Scholarship monies are available and can be applied for through the Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization, Inc.
