Friday night athletics, live music, theater productions, and student performances are happening throughout Mesa Public Schools, and more community members are discovering they don’t need to have a student enrolled to be part of the experience.
The MPS Gold Card invites eligible Mesa residents to come back to their neighborhood schools as audience members, fans, and supporters. Available for free to residents age 55 and older who live within MPS boundaries, the card provides free or discounted admission to many MPS plays, concerts, musical theater productions, and athletic events. Spouses of eligible residents may also receive a card, regardless of age.
This November is a great example of what Gold Card holders can experience. Student productions include The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at Mesa High School and Fantastic Mr. Fox at Mountain View High School, along with concerts, athletic competitions, and other events happening across the district.

With so much happening, MPS has made it easier to decide what to see next. Residents can visit mpsaz.org/gold-card to find upcoming performing arts events and links to high school athletics schedules throughout the year.
Gold Cards can be requested online or picked up at the MPS District Office, 549 N. Stapley Drive, Building 2 lobby. In a hurry? Call (480) 472-0074, and district staff can have a card ready for pickup.
For our 55+ Mesa residents, the MPS Gold Card offers more than admission to an event. It’s an invitation to support the next generation of Mesa students and stay connected to the schools at the heart of the community.
