Time to Spring Clean Your Body

by Gina Van Luven April 5, 2026April 5, 2026
written by Gina Van Luven April 5, 2026April 5, 2026

It’s that time of year again! The human body is bombarded with toxins every day. Whether it is pollution exposure, consuming processed foods, or using personal care products with harmful chemicals, your body can get overloaded with toxic build-up. Just like regular oil changes help keep your vehicle running efficiently, detoxifying (cleansing) your body can help you run efficiently.

Consuming dark, leafy greens and sprouted foods can help detoxify your body. Greens provide chlorophyll, and sprouted foods provide additional benefits because they contain more nutrients. Broccoli sprouts, for example, contain 20 to 50 times more sulforaphane (a cancer fighting compound) than mature broccoli. Bulking up your diet with these foods can help cleanse and balance your body, providing better health and vitality.

Your liver takes the brunt of detoxification. It filters your blood, neutralizing toxins before they can pass through the rest of your body. It also helps break down fats and helps maintain blood sugar stability. As great as this all sounds, the liver can get overwhelmed by the amount of modernday toxins we are exposed to daily. Over time, this burden can negatively impact your health.

Glutathione, for example, is a master antioxidant produced in the liver that tends to get depleted with age and toxic overload. Supplementing with glutathione can help your liver detoxify and repair.

At Prime IV Hydration & Wellness, we offer glutathione as well as acetylcysteine, which helps the body produce glutathione. You can get much higher doses via injection or IV versus oral supplementation.

For information on IV or injection therapy, please call us at (480) 992-4202 or go to primeiveastmesa.com.

Prime IV Hydration & Wellness – Red Mountain Gateway is located at 2025 N. Power Road in Suite 106.
