written by UpClose Publications March 1, 2013

Mike’s Barbershop, at the corner of Higley and McKellips roads, was robbed a recent Saturday morning at about 5:10 a.m.

The robbers broke the lock, entered with ski masks on and black coats, black hats and gloves. The thieves grabbed the cash drawer, ripped it from the desk and left, avoiding identification from the shop’s video cameras.

Mike’s Barbershop lost around $2,000.

Mike Magri, owner of Mike’s Barbershop, is offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and prosecution of the thieves involved in the recent robbery. Anyone having information is to contact the Mesa Police Department at (480) 644-2211.
